Peştera Hotel is located in Moroeni, on the Bucegi Plateau, at an 1600 m altitude, with a spectacular mountain landscape for endless opportunities.
Being a hotel with numerous facilities, it was wanted a revival for the spa area as well.
The acces in the spa area is made by the elevator or the stairways. For this space it was configurated a locker room both for the ladies and gentlemen from which you can enter the beach area, where the guests can enjoy a 16 m long pool, a jacuzzi, relaxing showers or the sauna.
For the pool, we created an aquarim effect, in this way we used a glass pool wall and an overflow system.
With a given space, it was difficult to dig for the pool tank, so instead we raised the floor level, in this way making room for the pool instalation beneath the floor. The architectural volume follows the existing structure, with only some panelling used to level differences in height or wall thickness.
The lighting design follows simple lines, with diffused soffits for the ceilings and swimming pools. The finishes include large ceramic tiles that highlight the massive space.
