European Capitals Summit for Architecture, City Planning, and Public Administration

The Bucharest branch of the Romanian Order of Architects invites you to the European Capitals Summit for Architecture, City Planning, and Administration. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., in the Throne Room of the National Museum of Art of Romania.

The summit is organized by the Bucharest branch of the Romanian Order of Architects together with the Bucharest City Hall, as part of the Bucharest Architecture Annual 2024, the 22nd edition, an international event that brings together valuable experiences from the administrative environment with those from the professional, architectural, design, and urban planning environments in Europe, examples that can inspire and ensure future actions useful for the development of European cities.

The purpose of this event is to bring together professions from the fields of design, construction, creative industries, academia, and administration and strategy, in order to achieve better collaboration through dialogue and the exchange of ideas.

Some of the foreign personalities who will give speeches at the Summit:

• Arch. Ruth Shageman - President of ACC's Europe;
• Arch. Gregor Reichenberg - Deputy Mayor of Maribor, Slovenia;
• Arch. Monika Konrad - Director of the Municipal Urban Planning Office of the City of Warsaw, Poland;
• Arch. Svetlana Dogotaru - Chief Architect of the City Hall of Chișinău, Republic of Moldova; 
• Arch. Anisa Mance - Director of the Urban Development Office of the City Hall of Tirana, Albania; 
• Arch. Csapó Balázs - President of the Chamber of Architects of Budapest, Hungary;
• Anton Kolomeitsev, architect – chief architect of the Lviv City Hall, Ukraine; 
• Tue Hesselberg Foged, architect – Copenhagen City Hall, Denmark – founder of EFFEKT;
• Ivana Stancic and Joost Beunderman, Copenhagen City Hall, Denmark, representatives of Dark Matter Labs and curators of the Bucharest Architecture Annual 2024;
• Mia Roth-Čerina, Zagreb, Croatia, professor at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb.
