Georgiana Jipa

Georgiana (Geo) Jipa is a Romanian architect based in Portugal, founder of the Lisbon-based Atelier Hirómi and of MoCa Modular Cabins. She moved from Romania to Portugal in 2018 at the invitation of a Lisbon studio and launched her own practice in 2020, working across hospitality, residential and sustainable modular projects. She now focuses largely on modular timber construction, from expandable houses such as the one in Sintra to MoCa’s prefabricated cabins. Her work sits between architecture and atmosphere, attentive to materials, proportion, light and movement, and shaped by cinema, nature and Japanese architecture.
