Horia Moldovan

Jury member for the Research through Architecture category, 2020 edition

Born in Sibiu in 1978, he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at "Ion Mincu" University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest, with a Master's degree in Conservation of Historical Monuments (2003-2005), he received his PhD in 2008 and is a practicing architect and teacher in the Department of History and Theory of Architecture and Conservation of Built Heritage within UAUIM.

He is Dean of the Faculty of Architecture in Bucharest.

Between 2016-2020, Vice-Chancellor for research, development, innovation and professional practice issues of “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism, Bucharest (2016-2020)

Awards and distinctions:

2017, the "Matei Brâncoveanu" Award offered by the Alexandrion Foundation for the field of architecture

2014, Ex Aequo Prize - Architectural Publications - National Biennial of Architecture XI, Bucharest, 2014 for the publication: Johann Schlatter: Western culture and Romanian architecture (1831-1866)

2013, Architecture Annual Award, Bucharest 2013, 11th edition, architecture book section for the publication: Johann Schlatter: Western culture and Romanian architecture (1831-1866)

Participant and contributor to numerous national and international conferences. Author of exhibitions of architecture and architectural restoration.
