Jette Cathrin Hopp

Jette Cathrin Hopp was born in 1971, grew up and was formed in the crucible of three cultures - Norwegian, German and Danish.
She has been working for Snohetta since 2005, mostly as a Director or member of the management team, being responsible for procurement and new projects. She is experienced in the practice of complex projects, either in Norway or abroad, which is why she has led numerous international projects and competitions. She is always present with interventions at symposia, conferences and participates in the activities of international institutions, everywhere presenting the philosophy of the Snohetta team and the ideas related to it. She has been a member of several specialized juries and architecture competitions.
As a critic, Jette Cathrin Hopp is currently the guest of an impressive number of universities around the world.
She was project leader for the King Abdul Aziz Belly Museum for Science and Culture in Dharhan - Saudi Arabia, but also for the work on the Norwegian State Opera and State Ballet in Oslo, and project manager for a huge hotel complex in Hvar, Croatia. She supervised important international projects that promoted high sustainability criteria: Astana Expo 2017 "Future Energy" in Kazakhstan; Lingkong Soho Shanghai, China; Elbtower in Hamburg. She was also involved in several “environmentally friendly” innovative projects in Norway - Powerhouse One in Trondheim, and in the concept phase of the Kjorbo Powerhouse project in Snadvika, the world's first energy-positive building.
