NE(S)T is a multifunctional urban object designed for play, encouraging sports activities and stimulating social interaction at the community level.
The title combines two central concepts that shape the project's vision: “NEST” and “NET.” The project alternates between areas meant for dynamic activities and spaces for social interaction or relaxation, all gathered into a single urban nest.

The prototype allows for multiple variations and adaptations, but the detailed version includes four distinct zones: football/basketball, seating tribune, chess, and a relaxation area.
An integrated football net on one side provides a safe and controlled environment for children to practice their skills. A basketball hoop supports physical activity and friendly competitions. Seating areas are strategically placed to allow users to rest or socialize in a comfortable setting.
The tribune encourages spontaneous street performances, offering seating for both spectators and passers-by. A chess table is also included to promote intellectual engagement, inviting teenagers to explore strategic thinking and develop their logical skills.

The proposed location for presentation is Tătărași Park, situated in a predominantly residential area. However, NE(S)T can be just as well integrated into urban squares or esplanades.
Its geometry reinforces the idea of play: seemingly naive, yet carefully shaped to accommodate users of all ages, becoming a key catalyst especially in areas with existing local communities.

More than an urban object, NE(S)T becomes a space for gathering, conversation, the development of social skills, connection, and a sense of belonging — because play is not just an activity, but an essential part of community life.
