The shape of the stool was inspired by an already existing semi-fabricated element. The "U" shaped piece was discovered by our team in the Transylvanian factory where elements from curved plywood are produced. In its initial version, this large piece is cut into 40 mm wide strips, which act as a reinforcing ring in the construction of a chair from the factory's portfolio.
Researching what could be done with this shape, without changing the piece too much, we noticed the resemblance to a riding saddle. Hence the name NOMAD. A playful idea, a saddle-shaped chair, with which one can explore comfortably the office space.
