Generally, office furniture is more rigid both visually and ergonomically, with fewer details and a more formal design. On the other hand, the intimacy of the home is defined by visually bolder pieces, with a strong personal touch and a more informal style.
The goal of this project was to propose a modular collection, designed especially for offices, but which brings a relaxed atmosphere, striking a balance between formal and informal.
The Ripple Collection includes armchairs, benches, sofas, ottomans, and tables. It is a modular collection, primarily intended for office spaces, but inspired by the comfort of home. A transitional product, a hybrid between the relaxed atmosphere of the home and the formality of the office.
The relaxed aspect of the collection is suggested by the fabric details. The pleats, inspired by fashion, highlight the craftsmanship, while the delicate ripples and relaxed edges mimic the elegance of draped fabric, creating a sense of movement and a harmonious interplay between texture and form.
With high and low panels and flexible components mounted on a frame designed to allow for multiple configurations, this collection can be quickly and easily reconfigured, offering limitless arrangement solutions. Inspired by the fluidity of home relaxation, Ripple transforms any conventional space, making it more welcoming and less rigid.
The soft, flowing edges of the cushions and panels offer a gentle, fluid appearance in contrast with the solid structure of the frame. The rippled texture and relaxed seams blur the line between precision and comfort, creating a harmonious balance between delicacy and strength.
