Authors’ Comment

In 2014, Zeppelin published the first book "Dwelling Together," about 6 iconic collective housing projects in Bucharest by ADN BA.
Over ten years, the size and quantity of their projects, the number of cities where they were built, and their internal and international recognition have exploded. The constant national prizes were accompanied, among other things, by selections for the Mies van der Rohe Awards or by participating as guests in the central exhibition of the Venice Biennale.
ADN BA works simultaneously on whole city parts and on small, subtle interventions. They have maintained the elegance of their solutions and expression, their obsession with urbanity and the creation of public space, with diversity, and with the continuation of a housing culture and the spirit of a place. Very importantly, they have not lost their appetite for seeking and innovating.
The 31 projects and 320 pages take us from Bucharest to Germany, from other large Romanian cities to the countryside, from towers to exhibitions, from small blocks with gardens to an experimental house.
For the first time, the critical texts, interviews, photographs, and plans are accompanied by execution details of completed buildings.
