The project presents two reconfiguration versions of the modular stand project for the Vellant publishing house, initially built in 2023 for the "Bookfest" book fair.
The initial version of the book stand (STVL 1.0) had a linear shape, fitting within a rectangle measuring 11 by 3.5 meters, with three sides open to the fair area.
In December 2023, the stand (STVL 2.0) was adapted for a space with an almost square geometry (6 x 4 meters) for the "Gaudeamus" book fair at the Romexpo pavilion. The space was enclosed on three sides with shelving modules measuring 83 x 43 cm. A single side was open towards the visitors, and it was made up of three white display wheeled tables, measuring 1.2 x 1.6 meters. The corner areas consisted of visually permeable brackets, made from wooden frames measuring 2.26 x 0.5 meters, serving as connectors for the four existing modules. Velvet curtains - repurposed props from the /SAC @Bucharest gallery - were mounted on the surfaces of the stand elements where no books were displayed.
In May 2024, the modular stand integrated a multimedia system at the "Bookfest" book fair, which included the sound and poetry installation "The Line of Female Authors"—played on an analog landline phone—and two video projections displayed on TV screens (1.10 x 0.60 meters). The three components of the installation, assembled against the fabric background of the curtain-props, visually connected the four existing shelving modules.
In version 3.0 of the STVL project, the shelving modules are arranged along three sides of the allocated space. On the two shorter sides occupied by shelves, access to the central area of the stand is provided by two 1.15-meter-wide circulation corridors. The core of the stand is composed of three white display tables, without the wheels from STVL 1.0 and 2.0.
