Authors’ Comment

Stratigraphy:

4th century AD - a set of platforms descending in steps towards the ancient port is built
1959 - after more than a millennium of being buried in oblivion, the terraces and their mosaic are accidentally discovered
1959-1967 - a brutalist building is designed and erected to protect the mosaic
2022-2025 - we design and build the enhancement of this entire history, emphasizing the existing lines with details forged in metal, like modern inlays that reinforce the connection between the antiquity and modernism.
