TOUCH NATURE
An assemblage straddling the line between a science museum and a flea market.

The antiques (or bric-à-brac) market is a juxtaposition of narratives—narratives themselves fashioned from stories deconstructed on a spread-out rug at the bazaar.

A cabinet of curiosities. Shelves filled with objects sharing a more or less exotic character.
A collection of exhibits, each striving—through its own image and story—to surprise the visitor. In the cabinet’s configuration (and the selection of exhibits), surprise becomes the goal, driven by uniqueness, rarity, and oddity.
The cabinet’s composition is an aggregation of oddities based on the density of artifacts per linear meter of shelving. It operates without clear selection principles, yet possesses an inventory list; it lacks the need for scientific ordering criteria, yet harbors (micro-)encyclopedic intentions.

Abstract.

A multi-tiered mini-structure blending cotton, acrylic, semiconductors, oil, and chlorophyll.
An artistic floral display—or "green gallery"—featuring 21 curiosities and a television set amidst 192 plants, arranged four to a shelf.
White modules (185x90x40 cm) organized according to a polished concrete grid, serving as a mixing system for more or less traditional expressive media. A space for exhibiting and aggregating foliage and objects assembled from white profiles; a framework for sketching the profile of a new kind of everyday reality: the Anthropocene.
