Between 2014 and 2019, Maria Boștenaru Dan reported on the latest developments in the field of landscape architecture for the LE:NOTRE Institute portal. The portal has since been reconfigured and no longer offers this functionality. With the permission of the institute's director, Jeroen de Vries, this collection of photographs and text has been processed for this book as part of the ‘Future on the Past’ project, which aims to make data from the photo collection available for greater resilience to earthquakes, floods and fires. In the case of floods and fires, nature-based solutions, i.e. those based on the landscape component, are a current trend. The book features an introductory study by Cerasella Crăciun, a senior member of this project, and an introduction by Cristina Enache, the contact person for ECLAS (European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools), who carried out numerous Erasmus network LE:NOTRE projects before the establishment of the institute of the same name, which included the latest developments in its initial version.
