Individual All-Around

Individual All – Around is a book that takes further the curatorial concept of a group exhibition about the way in which routines, contradictions and “shards” are translated into the realm of artistic mediality. An aesthetic journey through the way in which we can bring the paradigm of composition from the (audio-) visual and performative arts into our contemporary existence.

Individual All Around: Large Scale
The architectural approach towards a multimedia installation (200 artworks) placed in a building of cultural and historical value was not generated in relation to architectural elements or details, such as joinery or types of materials found in the structure of the Garrison, but with the spaces of the building.
The architectural solution transformed a segmented space into 16 sequences of 5 meters in length (on the first floor) and 4 on the ground floor, into a continuous space.
All design decisions were focused on reestablishing the connection between the interior space of the Garrison and the public space of Libertății Square, while honoring the curatorial theme by creating a
large-scale composition that integrates the exhibition with the city of Timișoara.

Individual All around: Micro Scale
After a series of interviews and site visits, a preliminary link was made between spaces and works: space sequences that comprise the exhibition path are “composing cells” with their own rules.
The artists chose a journey partner and integrated their works in the general mechanism considering the acoustics, the natural light, the city, the stoves, the stairs, the passage, the balcony as construction materials.
While the pairs of emitter - interlocutor were consolidated, works were emplaced.
