Authors’ Comment

The project is located on the shore of Lake Snagov, towards which the entire house is oriented. In order to take full advantage of the direct relationship with the natural setting, the proposed spaces were designed to be in constant interaction with the landscape.
Given the proximity to the water, the land slopes significantly downward toward the lake. Therefore, by placing certain spaces at a lower elevation than the rest, a functional and coherent integration of the natural terrain is achieved. The use of level differences allows the built volume to adapt to the site's specific topography without major alterations to the existing relief.
The opening toward the lake and the surrounding landscape is achieved through large glazed surfaces and terraces positioned at various elevations, ensuring a continuous relationship between the natural and built environments and enabling the seamless extension of the interior space to the exterior.
