Atria Promenada is a contemporary residential and mixed-use proposal located on the shores of Lake Străulești. The project aims to fully harness the potential of a 42,143 sqm site while strictly adhering to urban planning regulations, offering a balanced composition of housing units, green spaces, and public amenities all integrated into a coherent and sustainable masterplan.
To enhance the connection with the lake and improve the quality of living, the development adopts a U-shaped building configuration that ensures optimal orientation while respecting buffer zones and required setbacks. This layout creates a natural opening toward the lake and establishes a constant visual link with the surrounding landscape, contributing to a light, accessible, and well-ventilated urban fabric.
The site plan introduces two major perspective corridors, carefully designed to guide both visual and pedestrian flows toward the lakeshore and promenade. These axes reinforce the openness of the composition and maintain the permeability of public spaces, transforming them into areas not only for circulation but also for gathering and contemplation.
The residential complex is composed of three primary volumes arranged in a U-shape a strategic configuration that clearly separates public and private areas. Each building includes a semi-private courtyard with an integrated swimming pool, exclusively for residents. These spaces offer a calm, intimate environment designed for relaxation and social interaction.
Architecturally, the project is envisioned as a seamless continuation of the natural landscape surrounding the Străulești Lake Promenade. The building facades combine modern and sustainable materials decorative plaster, warm-toned metal, and wood generating a refined interplay of textures and colors. This material palette supports a contemporary and welcoming expression, harmonizing with the lakefront scenery.
The urban space formed between the three volumes is designed to encourage both social engagement and privacy. The semi-private courtyards extend the living experience outdoors, featuring landscaped areas, pedestrian pathways, mature greenery, and refined urban furniture that foster a serene and comfortable atmosphere. At the same time, two public squares emerge from the site layout, gradually drawing visitors toward the lakeside promenade. These spaces are not only intended for residents but are also open and inviting to neighboring communities, creating a shared environment that promotes connection and relaxation.
The adjacent promenade is marked by a series of wooden architectural canopies, delicately integrated into the natural setting. These structures play with light and shadow, inviting passersby to slow down, rest, and reflect. They contribute to the visual identity of the area while providing sun protection and reinforcing the continuity between the built environment and nature.
The masterplan places the lake at the heart of the project, transforming it into a defining feature of the living experience. Through careful spatial composition, material selection, and sensitivity to context, Atria Promenada proposes a model of contemporary urban living that is inclusive, coherent, and deeply connected to nature.
