The proposed solution is based on architectural coherence and a chromatic scheme that offers a personalized identity through details, even if the spaces chosen by the beneficiary for remodeling are located at different levels, the first floor and the attic of a residential building.
The room with the clearest signature is that of the teenager passionate about mountain biking. Here, we proposed transforming the functional components of an older bicycle into decorative objects for the ribbing wall. We did not forget about the passion for gaming, integrating technology into the area with the long desk top, a suitable place for studying as well. The gaze naturally flows from the shelves on the side of the wardrobe to those next to the desk.
In the master bedroom, the proposed bed canopy and the mirrors on the wardrobe doors coexist happily. The veil diffuses the light and provides privacy for the bed, and the mirrors multiply it, thus creating a game of layers, transparency and reflection, which provides depth and elegance to the room.
The attic has a relatively small surface area and demonstrates functional adaptability as a result of a multifunctional design. Thus, the space becomes a refuge completely adapted to contemporary needs: relaxation and reading, wellness and socializing, work from home. The mirrors design on the living area wall reflects the geometric negative of the open cubes in the bookshelf designed for the yoga area. This duality between full and empty, reflection and volume, reinforces the idea of fluid space and achieves a balance between activity (day/living space) and introspection (relaxation/yoga space, massage).
The surprising element of the attic is the creation of the sliding door to the bathroom and storage area, behind the ribbing pocket of the bookcase body that also has space dedicated to media and TV.
The marble bar is a sculptural element that creates an elegant visual anchor and an accent around which all activities in the attic intersect.
The bathroom takes visual language elements from the other spaces, but has a subtle connection to the idea of an oriental spa by using a tile with a Moroccan-inspired pattern, thus responding to the client's desire to create an environment suitable for a relaxing bath.
Our remodeling was designed using a coherent aesthetic language, natural tones of wood, white, moss green and subtle accents of black. The wooden ribbing that we find in each room provides rhythm, texture and functional adaptability. The decorative panels with stabilized moss are a sustainable choice that offers acoustic and aesthetic benefits.
The proposed concept brings balance between light, texture and materials, calm and reinterpreted cultural roots to this personal micro-universe.
