Painters lake house

Authors’ Comment

The theme of the project was the creation of a single housing unit that would seasonally house, for 6 months, two painters together with their families, but also a workshop for them to share.
The distribution of functions on the ground is carried out according to the cardinal points. The private areas are oriented strictly to the south, while the common areas are oriented to the west, taking advantage of the protection of the fence. The experience of discovering the space starts from the fountain placed in the access area, reaching the entrance hall that connects private life and living in the community, but also the exterior of the complex with its private garden. The separation of the zones is obvious, but the connection of these spaces is made either through corridors or through the interior garden space, aiming to ensure easy accessibility through short routes that offer unique perspectives.
