Authors’ Comment
The Romanian edition tries to be as close as possible to the spirit of the original work, edited in French.
This work is an extremely valuable tool for both architectural producers (architects of all ages and formations and architecture students) and for architectural consumers - investors, developers and people who spend their lives inside the architectural products.
At the same time, this book constitutes a basis for reflection on how the compliance or non-compliance with fundamental principles of architecture influences nowadays the architectural development at all levels and, consequently, the quality of life.
Also, starting from the understanding of architecture from the perspective of the author, this work can become an important tool in understanding architecture, in the general architecture education and a starting point for a subject which is lacking or is insufficiently developed in the Romanian cultural space, namely architectural criticism.
