Authors’ Comment

In august 2016 MEDS Romania organized an international workshop for students of all creative areas, hosted on the campus of the University of Agronomy and Veterinary Studies in Bucharest.
MEDS is the acronym for the Meeting of Design Students, a group that organizes annual workshops in different European cities. We have been present in Alanya, Istanbul, Ljubljana, Lisbon, Dublin and Tara (Serbia). This year's edition was organized in Bucharest and enjoys the widest participation in the history of the movement: more than 250 architecture and design students proposed interventions within urban gardens in northern Bucharest through 17 environmental and landscape installations.
From a floating pontoon on Lake Herastrau to acoustic installations in Kiseleff Park, the projects were developed in a multidisciplinary way: photography, artistic installations, landscaping, design and small architectural interventions and urban furniture.
In addition to the workshops developed over a two weeks period, the MEDS Romania Association organized a series of conferences, interactive events and field trips to the country side for participating students.
