What’s been missing from the new housing districts? This proves to be neighborhoods where the inhabitation is an introverted entity. The public space is absent in the sense that the inhabitants would assume it for themselves and use it in a specific affective way. I created a residential development which, beside inhabitation as dominated function, has a series of spaces that goes from public to semipublic and private. I wanted to create a gradation of spaces, so the permanent inhabitants and also the occasional visitors could stay in the same place without crossing someone’s intimate space.
