Basm is a space designed around the experience of whisky tasting, showcasing an extensive selection. The space exudes rigor and warmth, creating an intimate and engaging environment.
The central elements in the space, that asserts furthermore the particularity of the bar, are the central table and the bottle display behind the bar. Both sculptural and imposing, they anchor the space, emphasising the richness of the whisky experience.
To enhance the intimacy of the tasting ritual, we introduced draped textile drapes that hover above the tables, bringing both structure and softness to the space. These flowing elements gently counterbalance the strict geometric lines of the central table and surrounding furniture, adding a sense of warmth and ease.
The calming atmosphere is further accentuated by a central rice paper lamp, which complements the textile background and diffuses a soft, soothing light throughout the space. The color palette combines warm natural tones, sculpted over a neutral background, creating a refined yet welcoming environment.
