Authors’ Comment

The specificity of „Sanador” project was ingrained on one hand by finding a way of joining a house of patrimonial value with a pioneering construction in oncological medicine, and on the other hand by the care of a reverential welcome of the extremely special patient in entering the system by the sumptuous patrimonial house. Thus, the Oncologic Center is a result of the negotiation of without doubt a valuable architectural context and the development of a complex medical program on a small site. The two houses dispute and in the end, carefully guided, they become an aesthetic entity resulted from the sliding „monument” merged with the minimal and cartesian volume that pulls back in order to receive the historic message.
