The Y Chair explores the relationship between constructive simplicity and sculptural expression. Made from two bent metal sheets, the chair takes on an iconic silhouette in which structure and form merge into a single, coherent gesture. The geometry of the seat and backrest is shaped for comfort, naturally integrating the body into the composition of the object.
The three-legged configuration provides stability on slightly uneven surfaces and makes everyday use easier. The concept can also be translated into bent plywood, preserving its formal identity while adding the warmth and expressiveness of wood.
