Amidst the vibrant energy of Iași city, Look Inside rises as an invitation—a moment of pause, a space where the outside world fades and the inner landscape begins to take shape. Constructed as a cutout in the everyday urban fabric, the 6x6m square stage, with walls supported by a lightweight wooden structure, functions as an open space for the public—yet it leaves room for imagination and introspection.
Just as art goes beyond mere observation—awakening emotions that linger long after the performance ends—Look Inside becomes more than a simple architectural form: it is an experience. An act that invites visitors to step into its frame and listen to what emerges within. Sound is absorbed and reflected, just as emotions are processed and transformed. Movement—whether of bodies or of air—reminds us that introspection is never static, but a continuous process.
By day, the stage becomes a lively space, full of energy—a city landmark and point of interaction for people of all ages. Each visitor can add their presence and contribution to the place’s dynamic, transforming it into a shared space. Here, one can sit, talk, play, or simply enjoy this urban retreat.
By night, the stage transforms into a space dedicated to the performing arts, bringing a flow of energy and performances—of theatre and dance—that captivate and inspire. Thus, this project is not merely a physical location but an invitation to live and experience a corner of the city, a place where each person holds the power to shape the atmosphere and add meaning, while the space becomes a catalyst for creativity and community.
This pavilion is both sanctuary and stage. Here, you are both spectator and protagonist. Look Inside does not offer answers, but rather an open space for curiosity, contemplation, and the quiet power of turning your gaze inward.
