Authors’ Comment

As part of the installation “Original Gestures | Legalized Spaces”, Dimitrie’s works outline a capsule which, together with the four mobile panels, forms a single system.

The capsule has grown over time and has gained increasing autonomy within the performative ecosystem.

The set of new additions to the collection of works has simultaneously triggered shifts in the way the performance is spatially presented.

The exhibition generated a new dynamic within the gallery when choreographic scores were not taking place. After the final performance, it became an independent ensemble.

The display possibilities used the floor grid of the /SAC Malmaison gallery as a reference point, transforming the collection into a matrix-based system.

The panels, together with the lighting objects, mark the perimeter of the collection, placed at a distance of three grid modules (75 x 75 cm) from the gallery walls.
