The exhibition “RDW & The City” aims to highlight the collaborative dimension of design and architecture, particularly by emphasizing the strong connection between the city and its inhabitants. In this regard, the 2025 edition seeks to temporarily integrate into the city artistic installations and pieces of urban furniture that actively and directly engage with the life of Bucharest, inviting its citizens to engage in dialogue and direct interaction with the objects displayed in the targeted public spaces.
The seven totems placed along Calea Victoriei, between the Military Circle and Amzei Square, are transformed into urban toys and, at the same time, wayfinding markers, signals that speak of possible urban routes and small moments of escapism within the street's main plazas. Positioned abstractly next to one another like a strange abacus, the signals ultimately become signs, letters of a curious runic alphabet.
