Authors’ Comment

The project proposes a building functional and volumetric integrated in the urban area of Timpuri Noi – Gh.Şincai Boulevard. There are two buildings with height B+GF+8F, respectively B+GF+7F-8F, connected by a vertical circulation and several interior public spaces, semi-open towards the exterior. These public spaces are the communication interface of the building with the outside. Organized in a spatial upward spiral that culminates with a cantilevered terrace – as the main accent on the facade, these spaces and the terrace are destinated for leisure activities, having great visibility over the city.
The project was an opportunity to create public spaces mixed with the student housing function. Reading and recreation areas, organized on two levels, are accessible from the main circulation, giving rhythm and dynamism to the interior.
The foyer of the ground floor contain a reception area, waiting rooms, bar, the floors from 1 to 8 contain the accommodation rooms, reading areas, study areas with all the related utility (equipment, storage, laundry and drying room, IT room), technical rooms on the 8th floor (central heating, central ventilation). Car parks are in the basement and partially on the ground floor.
