Authors’ Comment

The house is an attempt to solve the architectural problem, having as main purpose the needs of the users and the quality of the living in a certain urban and economic context.
Placement on the ground is the response to the cardinal orientation of the plot and to an old urban context with very particular characteristics.
Although it has a small surface, the house gains interior spatiality and dynamics by solving the half-level partition, ensuring transparency and interpenetration. Going forward, the stair, as a central element of horizontal and vertical connection, is solved with a minimal presence.
The elements of passive architecture (natural light, orientation, natural ventilation on all stair heights, radiant heating) contribute decisively to the comfort of living.
