Farina Homemade Pasta is a restaurant inspired by Italian culinary culture, where fresh pasta preparation and the artisanal character of the products form the foundation of the space’s identity. The project concept stems from the idea of tradition reinterpreted within a contemporary setting, where architecture, gastronomy, and nature complement one another to create a cohesive and genuine experience.
The space is conceived as a combination of an Italian trattoria, a pasta workshop, and an urban retreat, with a warm, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere. Simple forms, natural materials, and a color palette inspired by the Mediterranean landscape create an authentic interior without excessive decoration. Wood, stone, ceramics, and textured surfaces contribute to the tactile and artisanal character of the space, while shades of cream, beige, terracotta, and green reinforce its warm and natural atmosphere.
An important aspect of the concept is the relationship between the customer and the preparation process. The idea of homemade pasta is translated into the architecture through the open visual connection between the preparation area and the customer space. The kitchen is perceived not merely as a technical area but as part of the experience, while the pasta-making process contributes to the restaurant’s authenticity.
This experience continues into the courtyard, which is one of the project’s main components. Within the urban context, the courtyard functions as a green oasis—a secluded, intimate space where the pace of the city recedes. It is treated not as a simple terrace, but as an extension of the restaurant, allowing the interior and exterior to remain in constant dialogue.
Vegetation plays an essential role in defining the courtyard. It creates privacy, visually screens the urban surroundings, and helps establish the atmosphere of an oasis-like garden. Natural materials and simple furniture continue the interior’s design language, ensuring a seamless transition between the two spaces. In this way, architecture and landscape intertwine, and the courtyard becomes an integral part of the restaurant’s identity.
Overall, the project aims to create an experience centered on authenticity, simplicity, honesty, and a connection with nature. The user journey can be perceived as a transition from the city into a more intimate setting: from the entrance and restaurant, to the pasta-making workshop and open kitchen, and finally to the green courtyard.
Farina Homemade Pasta is more than a restaurant. It is a space where gastronomy becomes part of the architecture, while the courtyard transforms the experience into a temporary escape from the urban environment.
