Hype Roll is an indoor roller skating rink, located in a 600 sqm hall within the Romexpo Center in Bucharest.

The layout groups the entrance, cafe and auxiliary spaces together, while the rink itself is treated as part of the space, rather than a separate entity enclosed by a conventional railing. This creates a more casual feeling and natural flow between all the spaces.

Once on the rolling rink, the funky shaped railings play 2 complementary roles. First is to act as informal guidelines for navigating the space: either to roll around the center, under the disco globes and mirror ceiling, or to follow the perimeter, a tour where each wall has a dedicated decoration or moment, as it ends with an immersive mirror room. The second role is to use the railings as gathering spots, to hang around and take a break, shielded from the main route, while still on the rink.

A play between textures, lights and pops of color defines the visual identity of the space, combining retro vibes with contemporary details. The result is a dynamic and playful interior, where architecture and scenography complete each other.
