The design of the new BLUM showroom in Romania aims to showcase the products in an environment that reflects the brand’s identity, synthesizing its passion for continuous innovation and its tradition as a manufacturer of furniture hardware. The space is structured into three main areas: the entrance hall, the technical area dedicated to systems, and the inspiration area – BLUM Inspirations, intended especially for clients and designers.

The entrance to the showroom is marked by an accent wall featuring an extra-large pivoting door that leads to the office area. The “orange infusion” light installation in the hall introduces visitors to BLUM’s characteristic atmosphere. One of the design challenges was the lack of natural light in the display rooms, which was solved by introducing illuminated wooden-framed niches, like “windows” that expand the perception of space and create the illusion of natural light. This effect is achieved using LED technology that faithfully mimics the natural light cycle throughout the day in both intensity and color temperature.

Each niche has a distinct character, representing BLUM’s brand values: history, innovation, tradition, nature, and family, and is personalized according to the furniture on display. The Inspirations area is designed as a sequence of themed spaces, suggesting different rooms within a home. The showroom also includes a space dedicated to the brand’s history, featuring a large LED screen for presentations.

The bathroom area includes a plant niche, emphasizing sustainability and the connection with nature, while the living area creates an intimate atmosphere and a sense of home and family – key company values. Another area, evoking tradition, is designed as a study corner with a library of samples and product catalogs. The systems area is organized by product category, and the furniture modules are equipped with LED screens for product presentations.

The materials used in the design combine smooth finishes in shades of gray, metal and wooden accents, in line with the company’s visual guide, with sensory textures such as locally handwoven wool rugs and pouffes in leather and textured velvet.

The BLUM experience is an invitation to tactile exploration and discovery, blending light, textures, and materials to bring visitors closer to the spirit of the brand. Because BLUM doesn’t just sell systems – it promotes an organized lifestyle centered on the natural ease of movement.
