In the design process, we aimed to creating a memorable visual identity, with a bold aesthetic, while tackling the acoustic and functional needs, and to resonate with the speed at which contemporary reality evolves, in constant motion. The rifled wood ceiling in the studio offers dinamism, guiding to one of the main functional areas, while also having an acoustic role. The space is deepened by using vertical, dynamic-placed mirrors, which complete the composition, thus contributing to a coherent and professional ambiance. Based on the various activities to take place in the studio, the lighting design, comprised of multiple-zoning LED band lighting and directional spots, aims to create multiple possible scenarios in order to adapt and align to every need, the users could be able to change them whenever they want. The entire lighting design was carefully crafted to give each artist the freedom of expression, the possibility to create their own sanctuary, shaping the atmosphere exactly as they desire. For an artist, the environment in which they create their work is essential, that`s why we aimed to offer them a versatile space, a space that they can fully personalize. By using the circular ceiling mirrors and liniar LED lighting, the access to the studio is designed as a scenographic transition, which invites and stimulates the user, creating an immersive experience – a portal to a creative universe that awaits in the studio. The color scheme used, based mainly on a powerful contrast between burnt orange and anthracite grey and futher empowered by the finishes and lighting design, creates a bold and articulated aesthetic. The space was thought of not only as a music studio, but a manifesto of collaboration between music and architecture, transcending the functional needs and becoming a visual extension of the creative, artistic act. With all of these, we made a sober, yet playful, professional, yet cozy and friendly space is created, transcending the functional and becoming a visual extension of the artistic act. The whole ensemble was designed for artists, for freedom, for expression, with a focus on versatility and flexibility.
