Takeovers Studios is a creative hub located in the heart of Bucharest, built around the concept of programmatic space — a place designed for adaptability, collaboration, and innovation. With a modular design and extensive functionality, the studio supports both small-scale initiatives and large-scale projects, growing organically like a mobile installation in constant transformation.
More than just a space, Takeovers Studios is a living community where designers, artists, and content creators come together to generate ideas, foster collaborations, and express artistic vision. The design process was not imposed, but rather evolved over time, responding to changing needs through flexible zoning and daily on-site coordination during construction.
The space integrates a wide range of functions: a fully equipped photo-video studio with a cyclorama, a podcast studio with a lounge area, a DJ booth with LED displays, a soundproofed room for music production and recording, a live band setup with instruments, a kitchen for culinary events, a versatile events area, a bar, and a smoking lounge. Whether it’s content creation, live streaming, or immersive experiences, the studio offers full professional support backed by advanced technical infrastructure: motorized acoustic curtains, dynamic architectural lighting, smart climate control, and ultra-fast internet for uninterrupted live broadcasts.
The aesthetic blends a soft industrial style — gray flooring, black ceilings, RGB lighting, and scenographic elements like a dynamic LED cloud above the bar — with a softened brutalism, where exposed concrete is balanced by soft textiles and greenery. Neo-futuristic accents, such as angular mirrors that create a sense of levitation, and the seamless integration of partner branding and technical systems (audio, video, fire safety), contribute to a vibrant and coherent visual identity.
With its multisensory design and fluid topology, Takeovers Studios doesn’t impose functions — it allows them to intersect. It doesn’t start from fixed boundaries, but from the energy of those who create, explore, and continuously reshape the space.
