Green Day Spa – The Urban Oasis

The Green Day Spa project, signed by OMEGA INTERIOR DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE, transforms a compact space in the centre of Bucharest into a contemporary sanctuary dedicated to relaxation and inner balance. The design was conceived as a sensorial refuge, inspired by the tranquillity of Mediterranean beaches and the soft texture of sand, offering an experience that rebalances the senses within a bustling urban context.

The design concept follows a monochromatic aesthetic, in warm shades of beige, creams, and sandy whites, subtly enhanced by matte golden accents. Finely textured walls, treated with limewash technique, create a natural, tactile atmosphere, evoking the relaxed elegance of Mykonos. The ambiance becomes a coherent dialogue between materiality, light, and form – each element carefully selected to support the idea of visual calm, spatial balance, and functional continuity.
The main challenge was optimizing a limited space without compromising functionality or aesthetic identity. The solutions adopted – fluid partitions, minimalist furniture with clean lines, natural finishes, and discreet ambient lighting – allowed for a coherent organization of functions and an amplified perception of interior volume. Clients perceive the space as being much more generous than it is, confirming the efficiency of the planning and visual strategies employed.

Materials were chosen not only for their aesthetic impact but also for their sustainability: walls treated with ecological limewash paint, flooring with a natural stone appearance in sandy tones, and locally crafted furniture made from durable materials. Low-carbon construction techniques were used, including modular construction, efficient resource reuse, and optimized energy consumption. All these decisions contributed to defining a space that is not only beautiful but also environmentally responsible.

Functionally, the layout favours intuitive circulation, supported by maximum exploitation of natural light through strategically placed windows. This is complemented by warm, indirect LED lighting, integrated into the architectural volumes. Together, they create a calm ambiance, aligned with a slow design philosophy, perfectly suited to the needs of a contemporary beauty salon.
The relaxation, reception, hair, and nails areas unfold in a coherent sequence, without visual breaks, each zone subtly defined through distinct flooring treatments, vertical finishes, and lighting fixtures. In addition, custom woodwork and small furniture details contribute to the overall aesthetic coherence.

Green Day Spa is more than just an aesthetic space; it is an urban wellness experience that actively contributes to the emotional and mental well-being of its users. The project demonstrates how a well-thought-out intervention, even in small spaces, can generate significant architectural and social impact. With a sustainable approach, coherent aesthetics, and flawless functionality, Green Day Spa becomes a benchmark of responsible and sophisticated interior design, proving that true luxury lies in simplicity, tranquillity, and attention to detail.
