The design of this office floor for Apa Nova Bucharest follows the principles of biophilic design, a concept that aims to shape living and working spaces in a way that addresses our fundamental need for connection with nature.
Within Apa Nova’s headquarters, this vision is expressed on each level by reinterpreting nature in its various forms, using the primary elements that define it.

This particular floor is dedicated to the element Air, a subtle theme with high expressive potential, reflected in the color scheme, furniture, and ambiance. The intentionally restrained palette includes touches of desaturated blue and indigo, evoking the essence of air and the shifting tones of the sky.

The reception area is defined by fluid forms inspired by the morphology of the stratus cloud, characterized by its flat underside. Above it, a cluster of spherical light fixtures arranged in a floating formation evokes a nimbus cloud, giving the space a vaporous and dynamic quality.

The exposed industrial ceiling, though seemingly simple, is doubled by lines of light that follow organic curves, creating a subtle play of illumination reminiscent of air currents.
The flooring, made of gray-blue textile tiles, forms organic patterns that give the sensation of walking above the clouds.

The office area is brightly lit, and the minimalist white furniture reflects the natural light, enhancing the feeling of levitation – floating above the cloud layer, under direct sunlight.
Adjacent to this, a niche padded in grey-indigo tones defines the relaxation area, a quiet corner next to the reception. Together with the ceiling in matching colors, it creates a calm scenography – a metaphor for the calm before the storm.

The subtle tension between serene elements and those with a strong presence creates an expressive contrast, shifting the ambiance from neutral to dynamic. The result is a layered interior design with a varied and deeply sensory experience.

Functionality has been carefully calibrated – circulation paths are clear, areas are well-structured, and sustainable solutions such as eco-friendly finishes and energy-efficient lighting enhance the project’s responsible approach.

At the same time, the calm, bright, and balanced atmosphere contributes to improving work focus, while also fostering creativity and connection between colleagues.

The central core of the floor is marked by a series of panels printed with nature-inspired images, returning to the theme of atmosphere and harmoniously completing the level’s main concept: air as space, movement and emotion.
