Authors’ Comment
The project aims to clearly define the identity of a Romanian-inspired restaurant, using traditional elements reinterpreted in a contemporary key. The result is a minimalist, but warm interior, in which natural materials, gross textures and pastoral symbols create an authentic and relaxed experience.
Dialog between old and new
The white plaster, with coarse granulation, which evokes the traditional methods of finishing the walls, reflects the natural light and gives the space a calm purity. The apparent concrete surfaces and discrete brick inserts resume the robustness of the vernacular constructions, without becoming a purely decorative imitation.
The Romanian motif, filtered
The graphic details appear controlled: a wallpaper with stylized folk pattern animates the sanitary groups, and in the main room the rhythm of the open wood panels and the circular sites upholstered in the brick suggests traditional geometric motifs, reposted in modern language.
Functional + honest
The open wood furniture privileges the functionality and tactility of the material. The bar and kitchen are cut by black metal carpentry and glass, allowing a direct visual relationship with the preparation of the menu and adding a discrete scenography note.
Light scenarios
The globe and cone suspensions, made of white or black metal paper, are apparently randomly arranged and define the dining areas by a hot, continuous rhythm. The light sits soft on the gross textures, amplifying the friendly atmosphere.
Facade and context
Street access remains subtle, naturally integrated into the urban front. The metal and glass announce the transparency of the interior, and the display case lets the look at an orderly, airy space.
Conclusion
The restaurant becomes a knot between memory and present: natural materials, chromatic accents inspired by the local culture and a retained architecture offers not only a dining place, but a complete experience of socialization and discovery, anchored in the contemporary Romanian identity.
