Authors’ Comment

Dieci il Numero proposes a narrative approach to interior design, where space becomes an active support for storytelling. The innovation lies in the integration of multiple identities—culinary, athletic, and literary—into a unified, coherent, and surprising architectural language. Each area of the restaurant is conceived as a chapter, while the overall layout functions like a story unfolding step by step for the visitor, through graphic details, symbolic objects, and subtle scenography.

The spatial organization follows the principles of Mediterranean hospitality, with an open-plan layout that is visually permeable and easily adaptable. The central table acts as both a spatial anchor and a playful element, encouraging interaction.

Decor elements, graphics, and color palettes are rich in meaning, referencing iconic figures (Nadia, Maradona, Decathlon) and literary themes. The narrative layer is discreet yet consistent, conveyed through expressive details and carefully calibrated compositions.

Natural materials and low-impact finishes define a healthy and sustainable atmosphere. Efficient lighting and custom-made furniture support a long-term adaptable and responsible model.

The intervention transforms a previously inert commercial ground floor into a recognizable urban landmark. The glazed façade, lighting treatment, and visual identity foster an open relationship with the street, generating both character and presence in an otherwise neutral context.
