Authors’ Comment

The project proposes the realization of a cultural tourist route to visit the Cave ensembles from the Buzău’s Mountains, concentrated in the area of Aluniș and Nucu villages, which are part of the “Buzău’s Land” Geopark. The need to arrange this route appears in the context of obtaining the status of UNESCO International Geopark, being only the second one in Romania. The starting point of the route will be a visitor center, located in the village of Aluniș in direct relation with the former school, which in 2020 became the Aluniș Art Center, an ONG concerned with sustainability and responsible tourism in the area. This visitor center will function as a core of the Geopark, presenting information about the entire area. Also, along the route, 5 temporary pavilions were proposed, which have the role of helping tourists along their journey.
