F.O.R.J.A. transforms a landmark in Câmpina, the former "Pioneers' Park," later a fenced-off private playground closed during the pandemic, into an open, intergenerational community hub. Located near the "Steaua Română" refinery, the oldest refinery preserved intact in Europe, the project addresses the socio-communal imbalance caused by industrial decline, aging population, and youth migration. By reclaiming this site, it challenges the erosion of local social cohesion. The design integrates the natural topography of the land, making it accessible through a system of ramps, steps, and tiered seating, fostering inclusivity for all ages. At its heart lies an intergenerational, multifunctional courtyard that bridges age groups. Combined with adaptable interiors, this space evolves alongside changing community needs.
