Located adjacent to Obregia Hospital in Bucharest, Romania, this Center of Excellence provides essential support for children with ASD and ADHD. The project addresses the lack of specialized spaces by moving away from cold, clinical environments. Instead, it offers a nurturing, integrated hub for therapy and education. The design centers on therapeutic courtyards and multi-level terraces, which act as sensory-safe "transition zones." These outdoor spaces allow children to build confidence, regulate their emotions, and engage with the environment at their own pace, bridging the gap between professional medical care and the comfort of a welcoming, community-focused sanctuary.
