The fact that Romania has many shortcomings when it comes to infrastructure and facilities is not a secret. Among these we can also find the lack of sports facilities in many regions of the country.
This problem was also noticed by the Sports and Youth Ministry, which came up with the National Strategy for Sport in 2015 (a document written with the final goal to raise the level of sports in Romania bewteen 2016 and 2032). One of the main reasons for the lack of performance in sports is the low participation in sporting of recreational activities, determined directly by the lack of sports facilities all across the country.
The brief of the project was formed starting from this premise. The site was chosen in the municipality of Campina, in Prahova County, in a region where some investments in sports facilities have already been made, and that has the potential to become a real sports center and an attraction point in the city. The final goal was to design a building well integrated in the site, that can become at the same time an engine for the development of the area.
