Authors’ Comment

The ensemble responds to its crowded neighborhoods through a break, an oasis of green space embraced by the built space. The transparency of the ground floor is counterbalanced by the upper floors with an inverted, opaque repertoire. On a stylistic level, a clear line was followed, based on the horizontality of the balconies. Thus, the complex acquires a tectonic character. The ensemble returns to the interior, where it communicates through a garden, offering people space to rest and opportunity to start a dialogue, in a desire to bring the community closer together. The green space is greeted by homes and continues to manifest itself on the facades, where it is found on the balconies, courtyards and terraces. At the top, the vegetation makes room and protects a reinterpreted urban park, where recreational activities complement the dwelling and diversify everyday experiences.
