This interior design project for Axel Arigato reimagines the retail environment as a sculptural, immersive landscape. The space is defined by a bold monochromatic palette, where a glossy, butter-yellow envelope wraps the ceiling and key architectural elements, creating a fluid, almost surreal atmosphere. The ceiling appears to melt into the walls, forming soft, organic bulges that challenge traditional spatial boundaries and bring a sense of motion and playfulness into the store.
Minimalist display structures in light, stone-like finishes contrast with the warm yellow surroundings. These biomorphic podiums and counters—rounded, cloud-like, and matte—serve as islands for showcasing footwear and accessories. Their tactile, handcrafted presence anchors the futuristic setting with a sense of natural calm.
Illumination plays a central role: an array of evenly spaced ceiling spotlights creates a rhythmic constellation above, amplifying the reflective surfaces and highlighting the sculptural forms below. Integrated lightboxes and architectural frames further emphasize a gallery-like approach to product presentation.
The interior achieves a dialogue between softness and precision, blending retail functionality with artistic expression. The result is a spatial identity that feels both experimental and inviting—an aesthetic signature that transforms shopping into an experiential encounter with form, color, and materiality.
