Authors’ Comment

The project is from a series of houses on the lake that we started in the same period. Each project leads to the dialogue between us and the beneficiary. There are many different spaces throughout the house. The availability to create different atmospheres was present which led to testing a different environment. The house is very bright, opening to the lake, which allowed us to work with materials or dark colors. Several elements directed our thinking behind. The first element was the rhythm, the course of the house being an important one and of course the opening to the lake which led to a gradual path towards a living room with double height. The relationship between the house and the lake was also taken into account in the creation of the living room, the center of interest being the view and in the background the fireplace, or the staircase...both being very present in terms of the size in the space. The projection frame was set by rhythm, the relationship between lake and interior space and contrast, wood-concrete.
