The basis of the design proposal was the clients' passion for the London style with industrial influences. The materials, textures and colors were chosen to illustrate the atmosphere.
The fusion of 3 living functions (kitchen, dining and living room) in a single open space room, conditioned us to propose exclusively custom-made furniture. The efficient use of space and functionality were treated with the same degree of importance as the design and atmosphere.
The color palette has numerous variations of gray and burgundy accents, the materials used and the warm temperature of the artificial light, all together influence the perception of the space, creating two different images – one during the day and another at night. We proposed ultra matte black painted MDF, wood and metal. The concrete-look finishes of the ceiling and floor visually unify the upper and lower parts of the space, intentionally directing the gaze towards the middle area, where unfinished materials (such as antiqued exposed brick) interwine with decorative or artisanal elements for ambient lighting made from reused objects (pipes, faucets, water meters, cameras) by artists from the country.
