Apartment O. is a manifesto of warm simplicity — a domestic space where functional minimalism meets the delicacy of detail, and the rigour of the layout is softened by tactile materials and gentle tones.

The project explores the theme of contemporary living through the lens of a young family’s needs, for whom home becomes both an emotional refuge and a living space, adaptable to the rhythm of everyday life. The space aims to create a neutral, calm setting, able to welcome daily life in all its natural dynamics.

Starting from the concept of “visual calm”, the design cultivates a balance between spaciousness and intimacy, between the clear geometry of volumes and the softness of curved furniture lines. The colour palette — dominated by light tones, natural wood, dusty pink accents and oxidised copper — adds warmth, avoiding the cold rigidity often associated with classic minimalism.

The apartment layout was designed to create coherent flows, visually connected yet functionally independent spaces. The living area integrates the kitchen, dining and living room in a cohesive composition articulated through light and material. A round dining table, with a sculptural wooden base, is paired with comfortable chairs, in an atmosphere dominated by a sculptural light fixture.
The master bedroom is a peaceful retreat, defined by soft textures and neutral tones, with subtle detailing that creates a restful ambiance.
The child’s room reinterprets playful elements in a contemporary key: arches, curves and pastel shades create a gentle, joyful universe, while preserving the aesthetic coherence of the whole.
Natural finishes and warm lighting contribute to an atmosphere that is serene, inviting and subtly sophisticated in its details.

This project does not seek to impress through grand gestures, but rather to create an honest, well-proportioned space that supports the rhythm of daily life and the emotions of inhabiting it.
