The apartment, part of a modernist block raised in 1939, combines the elegance of the inter-war era with a sustainable design, adapted to today's urban life. The intervention respects the original identity: the solid wood flooring has been restored, and the metal details with brass finish add a discreet and contemporary accent.

The arrangement pursues a balance between heritage and present, responding to the needs of a young family and a carefully managed budget, without compromise to the quality of the materials. The color palette is based on natural and neutral tones, highlighted by hot green accents, for a welcoming atmosphere. The textures and graphic motifs are complemented, and the pieces of old furniture, made of solid wood, reintegrated, add authenticity.

The two existing bathrooms - one of which was non -functional - were completely renovated. Thus, the apartment now has two distinct sanitary spaces, and the living and night areas remain clearly delimited for an optimal flow of living. The furniture made to fluidize the space, the masked storage areas and the door hidden in the library throughout the wall maximize the useful surface and introduce surprise elements in the arrangement.

Natural light, filtered through large windows, reduces energy consumption, and LED lighting luminaires support the sustainable strategy, counterpoint by vintage details. The works signed by contemporary Romanian artists bring the cultural dimension of the project, and the perspective to a bohemian neighborhood anchor it in the history of the city.

The result is a responsible reconversion exercise, in which the functionality, adaptability and sustainability meet with respect for the modernist spirit of the building.
