The project aims to restore both art museum and inserting new functions. The ground floor is divided into three functional areas: The first area, Ligia Macovei's painting workshop is preserved as the exhibition space of her works and collected furniture pieces, also includes areas of projected information of the museum. This has dual function, the of exhibition space which occasionally can be used for other activities such as book launches or conferences.A second area is the library with a reading room where you can browse the vast collection of books from Pompiliu Macovei. Last, the husbands Macovei bedroom area, and it has a double function: the exposure of the furniture and works of art but also hosting occasional personalities. Major intervention occurred in the attic where a space for temporary exhibitions was created with a bar area and areas for conversations, a workshop for furniture recondition and a painting workshop for children but and grown-ups at the upper floor. At semi-basement is found the administrative part of the museum with space for offices and storage.
