Authors’ Comment

The project is a contemporary office building than can be reused and configured with a different function in the future. The complex has been design to provide accessibility and efficient office space with a particular focus on ecology, low energy consumption and community space. It’s made out of 3 distinct units, the first unit, with a built area of 1700 sqm, accommodates the office space for A.N.A.F. , while the second unit, with a built area of 1000 sqm, contains a more secure function. The two units are linked by a connecting body which takes the form of an atrium that directs traffic flow and functions as a commercial microenvironment with a focus on community. The main entrance is placed here, connecting the other two units of the building and the commercial area. From here, circulation flows and is redirected towards different areas. The facades are designed according to a system of curtain walls, metal structures and closings made of thermal glass. Glazed areas ensure optimal daylight and allow for the interior spaces to be observed from the outside. The building gains character with the help of inclined structural elements that give rhythm and dynamism to the facades.
